Church history in the making.

Miss Mary asked me if I'd assist her in documenting our church's history by photographing different events and my response was in the affirmative. I have a camera and I sort of know how to use it. So, if I can use that to benefit the church, I’m up for it. However, so far, I've contributed nothing and should be punished cruelly.

Last night, I made an effort to do my job and take a few pictures at the mission’s conference. It was the first evening, which normally consists of a meal followed by the speakers. Consequently, it's a more laid back environment and a good time to float around and take some shots of people eating and fellowshipping.

Scroll down and observe some faces that were at our 2010 missions conference:

Lub-dub.

Frank-Starling's Law states that, "the more the heart muscle is stretched, the more forceful the contraction and the more blood is pumped."

A fit heart works more efficiently... beats less, but delivers more blood with each beat.

One more good reason to go to the gym and exercise. Unfortunately, (1) my schedule is random enough to prevent an uniformed routine from taking place, and (2) I'm too lazy to go. So, instead, I'll sit here and eat candy.

I saw the Heavens testify

It was a warm(er) day yesterday & after muddling around the house for a while, I decided to meet up with Andrew in Lewes. We ended up going to the Cape Henlopen park where I've camped many a time with my family. The weather was perfect. I've missed being outside.

As the sun began to set, we stomped up the watch tower and viewed the setting sun from the top. Unfortunately, my camera can't capture that view. But, it was beautiful.

Six Short Rules for Young Christians

By Brownlow North

1. Never neglect daily private prayer; and when you pray, remember that God is present, and that He hears your prayers. (Heb. 11:6).

2. Never neglect daily private Bible reading; and when you read remember that God is speaking to you, and that you are to believe and act upon what He says. I believe all backsliding begins with the neglect of these two rules. (John 5:39).

3. Never let a day pass without trying to do something for Jesus. Every night reflect on what Jesus has done for you, and then ask yourself, "What am I doing for Him"? (Matt. 5: 13-16)

4. If you are in doubt as to a thing being right or wrong, go to your room and kneel down and ask God's blessing on it. (Col. 3:17). If you cannot do this, it is wrong. (Roms. 16:23).

5. Never take your Christianity from Christians, or argue that because such and such people do so and so, therefore, you may. (2 Cor. 10:12). You are to ask yourself, "How would Christ act in my place"? And strive to follow Him (John 10:27)

6. Never believe what you feel, if it contradicts God's Word. Ask yourself, "Can what I feel be true if God's Word is true"? And if BOTH cannot be true, believe God and make your own heart the liar. (Roms. 3:4. 1 John 5:10-11).

Funny fact about this cat: it thinks that no one can see it when it jumps on the back of our couch and hides its head under the quilt that is hanging down from the wall.
